(PITTSBURGH) November 4, 2019 – Bernstein-Burkley is pleased to announce the addition of a new associate, Trisha R. Hudkins, to its team of skilled attorneys. Trisha joins the firm’s growing Litigation practice, where she will focus on commercial litigation, employment law, and toxic tort in the firm’s Wheeling, West Virginia office.
Trisha has experience with all phases of litigation, from inception through trial, including early and essential investigation, substantive motion practice, depositions and mediations, and successful settlement negotiation. In addition, through her prior experience as a Title Abstractor and Crew Chief in the oil and gas industry, she possesses valuable knowledge to assist her in the defense of toxic tort claims involving asbestos and other industrial exposures to toxic substances.
Trisha attended Ohio Valley University for her undergraduate studies and later graduated from Duquesne University School of Law, with a concentration in Civil Litigation. While in law school, Trisha was President of the Energy and Mineral Law Society, Vice President of the Christian Legal Society, and Editor-in-Chief of the Energy and Environmental Law Journal. She received a CALI Award for the highest grade in Mineral and Gas Law: Leases and Conveyances and was also awarded a Pro Bono Certificate for her volunteer hours.
As evidenced by her Pro Bono Certificate and her current membership in volunteer organizations, Trisha demonstrates a commitment to give back to her profession and community. Additionally, her participation in the Energy and Mineral Law Society, Christian Legal Society, and Energy and Environmental Law Journal during law school provided a valuable foundation for the skills she uses today to deliver exceptional service for her clients.
