Greenfield and Jeffrey C. Toole.
Both partners will join the firm’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice group, where Harry will focus on corporate bankruptcy and restructuring involving receiverships, mechanic’s liens, collection actions, foreclosure actions, lease defaults, and Uniform Commercial Code issues, while Jeff focuses on commercial debt restructuring and insolvency matters, primarily in the manufacturing, retail, real estate development, health care, hospitality, and transportation industries.
More About Harry W. Greenfield
Harry represents both corporate debtors and creditors, as well as commercial lessors, financial institutions, financing companies, lessees, secured lenders, bankruptcy trustees, and parties in the sale and acquisition of businesses. He has also helped numerous companies restructure their balance sheets outside of bankruptcy and counseled entrepreneurs on asset protection.
Harry has devoted his distinguished 50-year legal career to business bankruptcy and creditors’ rights law and has been widely recognized for his expertise in these areas, including by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers. Harry was also inducted as a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, an elite and prestigious membership of 740 invitation-only attorneys, judges, professors, and turnaround professionals. Harry served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he taught law students business bankruptcy. He also utilizes his expertise by writing and speaking extensively on matters involving bankruptcy and reorganization.

Jeff has vast experience successfully representing creditors’ committees, debtors, leasing companies, secured lenders, and unsecured trade creditors. In this capacity, he focuses on corporate reorganizations, going-concern sales and other transactions, lending and leasing matters, receiverships, and complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts.
Jeff has been recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers for his work in bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights. Jeff also devotes his time to developing future attorneys by serving as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he teaches bankruptcy law and procedure. He writes and lectures on a wide array of business bankruptcy and secured transactions issues, commercial loan workouts, and other important credit-debtor topics.
