Team Bernstein a Top Player in MS Bike Tour 2002
Bernstein-Burkley, P.C. is pleased to announce that Team Bernstein was the tenth-highest fundraising team for the 2002 MS Society’s Escape to the Lake (Erie). Team Bernstein consisted of managing partner Robert Bernstein, his children Katie Bernstein and Alex Bernstein, and paralegal Michael Sally. Team Bernstein raised $10,339 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, due mainly to the extraordinary efforts of Katie and Alex Bernstein.
Escape to the Lake (Erie) was a two-day, one-way bicycling adventure that began in the Pittsburgh area (Cranberry Twp.) on Saturday, June 8 and traveled 150 miles to the shores of Lake Erie in Conneaut, OH. Cyclists rode the scenic back roads of Western Pennsylvania to Meadville, after which they were provided with lodging at Allegheny College. Cyclists rose early Sunday for a hearty breakfast, and then finished cycling to beautiful Conneaut Township Park on Lake Erie.
“What an exhilarating experience!” exclaimed Bernstein. “We had a great time, and best of all, our efforts will benefit a very worthwhile cause. I am particularly proud of my children, who went far above the call of duty in raising money for this event. I’d also like to extend my sincere thanks to Michael and to every member of Bernstein-Burkley, P.C. who sponsored us in the bike tour. Spending time together in the great outdoors and raising money to help others . . . these are two of the greatest things in life.”
