ROBERT S. BERNSTEIN, ESQ. ELECTED CHAIRMAN
Robert S. Bernstein, Esq., Managing Partner of Bernstein-Burkley, P.C. of Pittsburgh, has been elected Chairman of the Standards Committee of the American Board of Certification (ABC). The ABC is the only national professional certifying organization certifying Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights attorneys. Doubled-boarded himself, in Business Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights, Bernstein was tapped to Chair the prestigious Standards Committee, which reviews the qualifications of attorneys applying for Board Certification. As a member of the Executive Committee, Bernstein will have a lead role in the Board Certification process for the coming years.
Bernstein practices Bankruptcy, Creditors’ Rights and Business law. He has extensive experience in credit recovery matters, including collection, secured transaction and mortgage foreclosure. Mr. Bernstein also frequently lectures for local and national groups on matters of collection, lease enforcement and bankruptcy.
The American Board of Certification (ABC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public and improving the quality of the bankruptcy and creditors’ rights law bars. ABC has certified nearly 1,000 attorneys in consumer and business bankruptcy and creditors’ rights law nationwide. ABC certification serves the public by allowing potential clients to make an informed decision in choosing bankruptcy and creditors’ rights counsel. In addition, ABC certification encourages attorneys to strive toward excellence and recognizes those attorneys who have met the rigorous ABC standards. ABC offers separate certification programs in business bankruptcy, consumer bankruptcy and creditors’ rights law.
