Q:     How is technology helping bankruptcy and creditors’ rights law firms better serve their clients?

A:     Technology has enabled the “paperless office.” This means that attorneys can access your case file from anywhere – home or court … even from vacation! Because your attorneys can easily access your case information at any time, they are much more efficient on your behalf.

Additionally, electronic case filings maximize efficiency within the court system. The Allegheny County Courts and Bankruptcy Courts now accept electronic filings. Since these notices are electronic, all parties are simultaneously notified, ensuring that service is always accurately effectuated.

From a creditors’ rights perspective, having instant access to a debtor’s credit report and other information is enormously helpful as it allows us to determine information about the debtor’s assets and liabilities.
